A tragic but universal theme in Salinger’s stories: failure of true communication. At most times, “people talk at rather than with each other” (SparkNotes). Most notably in the call between Muriel and her mother, neither woman seems able to communicate her thoughts to the other end of the telephone. Sends shivers down my spine.
评分看瞭好幾遍，從最開始的懵懂到現在隻認為的理解到瞭60%，總算可以鬆口氣。害怕的就是那種，明知這文字好到無法言說，卻實際又一場睏惑的感覺。現在的現在，嘗試著摳圖解文，bananafish不僅是欲望的象徵，更成瞭人情事故的彼岸。
