The pieces that really speak to me are not only her vivid recounting of the journey itself but also her tender contemplations on the meaning of living and resolving solitude with her own self. I would have loved to read more on this. I would continue to be her reader.

奧利維亞·萊恩（Olivia Laing）英國記者、作傢。2007年到2009年，她擔任《觀察傢報》（the Observer）代理書評編輯。她在《觀察傢報》（the Observer）、《新政治傢》（the New Statesman）、《泰晤士報文學增刊》（the TLS）和《衛報》（the Guardian）上發錶過多種文章和書評。她曾獲得草藥研究的頭等榮譽學位，做過幾年草藥治療師；然後纔轉任記者，專門報道焦慮和抑鬱治療。奧利維亞·萊恩獲得瞭麥剋道威爾奬學金（MacDowell Fellowship）、西格濛德·斯托茨利茲旅行津貼（Sigmund Strochlitz travel grant）和藝術委員會（the Arts Council）和作傢基金會（Author's Foundation ）的津貼。
