资料不可谓不详实，但却微妙地不得要领。在西人看来，state-sponsored和grassroots是天生的反题、是违背常识的存在，因而研究state-sponsored grassroots organization一定能出好文章。这点我也承认。但至少对我而言，对居委会重要性的拔高同样也是违反生活常识的。况且，作者并没有令人信服地完成从function/perception到state-social integration/legitimacy的关键论证，更不用说他自己也承认的中国城市大拆大建对居委会作用的结构性打击。当然啦，近些年“朝阳群众”频频显露身手，也不知道是打了作者的脸、还是打了我的脸。

他们并不真正关心研究对象的日常生活，他们关心的只是那些能够满足他们学术和政治立场的日常生活的政治。
