gets boring. v old book. writing style is meh. but was available at library. |把我的rating 从三星该五星的原因是放下这本书之后竟然还会想起来再打开度—这说明这本书的content是我需要的. 但是examples discussed were somewhat remote and lack character dev 但i guess 作者也不是写小说的就情有可原了. 为什么五星而不是四星呢？是因为content is that good.

评分几周前去同事家聚会，借了本回来看，很有收获！！虽说是写给大学生看的，但我等教书之人，读起来不仅能促进对教育的思考；自己也是终身学习之人，读下来可以获取一些学习的建议。书的核心观点是成为deep learner，不要为追求高分而学习，而是为了自己的兴趣，听起来很老生常谈，但引用的一些个人案例还是很不错的。比较新颖的观点包括：学习不仅是学知识，更是了解自己的思维、学习、工作的习惯，并且取长补短；遇到难题，尤其是那种复杂的掺杂了伦理道德、政策法规的问题，应该不要轻易放弃，而是持续获取新的信息、不断完善自己的想法。读的过程会一直反思自己的教学方法，觉得有些大白话大道理应该要适当地跟学生说（比如学生应该主宰自己接受的教育），不然STEM学科的学生实在是太容易按部就班了。
