大學圖書館看到的，當時幾乎是抄書，抄瞭兩個筆記本。後來在北外的書店買瞭一本，珍藏中。
评分在本科階段必讀的一本書，不論是不是英語專業。
评分用以作為對比基礎的中文文章大都是社論八股文，帶著濃厚的八九十年代風格，這放在現在看絕不是好的、正常的中文文章寫法，所以藉鑒性不大。部分對篇章布局的談法對中國學生來說還是可以看看。
