應該是專欄豆腐塊集結成冊？好玩的一本小書，巴恩斯特彆愛同食譜較勁兒，若不能理解他這種“cookbook原教旨主義”，大概不能接受各種斤斤計較（“憑什麼食譜裏的字詞就沒小說裏的來得要緊？前者導緻生理消化不良，後者給予精神打擊。”），要覺得此書龜毛又欠揍。或許因成書年代早，走輕鬆嚮，特彆好讀，文風也俏皮，各種英式joke——彆指望讀完長幾分廚藝，笑一笑有益身心健康倒是真的。很喜歡最後一篇裏Bowen講述的故事：詩人因精神崩潰而被拘禁於醫院，齣院後住在可以俯瞰麵包坊的屋子裏。詩人認為自己身心開始好轉始於某一天——那一日，他望嚮窗外，瞟見一個買麵包的女人。看她全神貫注地挑麵包，詩人感到瞭極度的羨慕。Cooking too is an affair of sanity.
