The ending is not as satisfying, but I guess that's life - not everything has an ending. Reading it reminds me of life in villages, and yes it was like that and It is still kind of like that in a way in rural part of China - guess there isn't that much of cultural gap. Anyway, great read and I feel like I lived among the characters in the story.

确实有点像在描写作者7岁那年的自己，如果不是有那样的生活应该也不会有那样细腻的描写吧，对于生活在中国的童鞋们来说，这个书平淡中带着生动，几个小高潮交错迭起，令人意外，祖孙关系、父子关系、婆媳关系、劳资关系、地下恋情、棒球、仇杀、私生子，这些关键词，这本书里全都能找到哈。
