一个保守派theologian写structuralist的理论写着写着开始发慌：人类没救了！总体很好很好的一本书，很适合研究state, law, violence, and law enforcement之间的关系。总的来说非常偏西方理论，并且很直男的一本书，理解挺binary（structuralism通病），但不影响这本书的质量。mimetic desire解读超精彩。

blow my mind,基拉尔接近完美之作。以前，当我把城邦中的屠城危机归结为类特洛伊木马现象时，这本书就潜伏在了我未来的某处。

是什么引起了暴力？暴力的特征是什么？暴力得不到制止的会产生什么样的后果？如何阻止暴力的蔓延？1、禁忌；2、仪式，这两种方法最终导向了替罪羊机制。到最后我还是不明白，本来人和人之间的暴力冲突，怎么就变成了共同体和一个替罪羊的冲突，这个转变背后的机制是啥？是什么力量让这群人团结起来了？晕

Girard最出彩的一部著作，集合了前期的人类学和神话学的研究，加上对于精神分析的辩证，可以说是他学术史的巅峰。
