逼格极高的pure gossip。有人可能认为这本书的成功源于Savannah这地方太特殊，又碰巧遇到一班超有料的cast，谋杀案就更是锦上添花。我倒觉得不管在哪个城市哪个小镇，只要挖的够深，都能掘出个jim williams、danny hansford、chablis。

十五年前看过改编电影完全没任何印象，前几天去旅行才意识到这书是写萨瓦纳的，因为完全被城市迷住所以回来立即找来读，惊为天人，感觉被作者带着又走了一遍全城所有的house tour, history tour, ghost tour，字里行间都能体会到小城的气息，这种奇怪独特又迷人的气质勾得我也想一次次再回去，或者默默住上半年。如何写一座城市，这书真是极致了。电影根本改不出来的。

在哈尔滨和沈阳的病床上看完了《午夜善恶花园》，一本有趣的书，光怪陆离，妙趣横生，作者的叙事方式很巧妙，很流畅，翻译的也不错，难得这么厚的外国小说让我看得有滋有味的。推荐之。
