約翰‧哈威 John Harvey

1938年齣生於倫敦，是小說傢，也兼有詩人與劇作傢身份。

在諾丁罕大學取得碩士學位後，曾在中學教授英文與戲劇，後轉而從事專職寫作。並於1980年代返迴母校，教授電影與文學。作傢生涯創作過百餘部作品，其中最為人熟知的是犯罪推理係列。尤其是芮尼剋探案的係列小說。

哈威最為膾炙人口的查理‧芮尼剋探案係列第一部作品《寂寞芳心》，甫齣版便廣受矚目，獲英國BBC改編為影集，並登上英國泰晤士報的二十世紀百大犯罪小說榜。

2007年，英國犯罪小說作傢協會再度頒發錶彰終生成就的鑽石匕首獎，推崇他為「犯罪作傢中的犯罪作傢」。
