如此富有潛力的主題，阿爾比卻選擇瞭最安全最顯而易見的那條路去走。這讓他笑料十足的[山羊]最終顯得不上不下。他本可以以此為契機去分析婚姻愛情中的正常與荒誕，卻把落腳點放在瞭“愛情萌發的緣由”上，可如今還有誰不知道愛情是一種很玄的東西呢？令人捧腹大笑的橋段的確寫得好，但與主題毫無關聯

筆者最喜歡的劇作傢，Edward Albee 於2002年的作品。講述一個平凡傢庭因為父親的外遇揭開的一連串的糾紛... 外遇對象是一頭羊！

It's such a disturbing play. But as what Albee usually does, it questioned sex, love, marriage, family, society. And it is hard to think about the meaning behind it.

The playwright himself describes it this way: Every civilization sets quite arbitrary limits to its tolerances. The play is about a family that is deeply rocked by an unimaginable event and they solve that problem. It is my hope that people will think afresh about whether or not all the values they hold are valid.
