羅傑?卡曼(Roger Kamien)，1934年生於巴黎，6個月大被父母帶到美國，先後獲得哥倫比亞大學音樂學士，普林斯頓大學音樂學碩士和博士，曾在亨特大學教音樂史，音樂理論和音樂文獻，後在紐約大學女五學院擔任20年音樂欣賞教研主任。19567-1959年，返迴巴黎做富布賴特學者，專傢研究18世紀音樂。1983年，當選耶路撒冷希伯來大學祖賓?梅塔音樂學會主席，近年來，他和妻子安妮成立一個雙人鋼琴組。
