沒想到第一本從頭到尾啃完的英文原著居然是這本比較冷門又比較老的書~感謝Kindle！流行曆史寫法確實好讀~

並沒有繞著亨利八世，而是繞著六位女性的生平來寫的。但是最有趣的真的還是安·博林，她的崛起和downfall。總體來講是曆史大背景下即便是作為皇後也是各種各樣的悲慘。

很好看的曆史書。雖厚得象磚，讀起來一點不嫌長。如 Hui 所說，很 juicy，因為那段曆史太吸引人，故事太多。六個王後，背景身世迥異，可似乎都逃不脫悲劇的人生。那樣的年代，無論哪裏的婦女，都是一樣的附屬品，身不由己。Alison Weir 寫的 pop history 還是不錯的。下一本，該是 Mary, Queen of Scots 瞭。
