人物性格飽滿。心理起伏描寫細膩。所謂欲拒還迎的自娛自樂性說的就是高貴冷艷美的公主。齷齪嚴格地說。極私人處也許每個人都有綠茶婊特徵- -。而後防綫在即將崩潰的時候。男主死掉瞭。於是’公主‘便成瞭壁虎的尾巴重新又迴來瞭。

中二是種病。廣義的中二隨處可見，而常常隻有被生活狠狠打擊之後這種固執、高傲、不屑的中二纔會妥協。一旦妥協，它便夾著尾巴，跌跌撞撞，把自己藏得你再也找不著瞭。

These stories date form the last eight years of D.H.Lawrence's life. Their sheer energy and natural beauty - evident particularly in 'The Princess', 'The Flying Fish', 'The Overtone' - express much of the effect on Lawrence of his Mexican travels. Also included here are the full, unexpurgated version of 'Sun', his story of sensual awakening set in Italy, and, among the sardonic comedies and satires, his study of a consuming relationship, 'Mother and Daughter'.

Satirical and often cruel, but always rich and resonant, they are, as Keith Sagar points out in his introduction, a reflection of D.H.Lawrence's movement 'away from realism towards myth and fable' - a journey that ended with his premature death in 1930.
