无意间看的这本书，看完后认认真真地做了笔记，又认认真真地再查看了一下。对于学过概率，而没有学过数理统计的人，常常试图去看数理统计的书，但是看完后除了知道有这么一个概念，可以如何计算外，很多东西都很混乱，比如卡方检验跟t检验，F检验区别是什么，可以用于哪里...

这个评价系统能够没有再高的级数，否则打个十星也不为过。在读过国内版本的统计教材之后，这本统计教材显得更加珍贵。甘怡群的行为科学统计便是此书的简单翻译版本，尚如此畅销且被诸多学生因为经典，可见原著功力深厚。一步一步的教导，而不是像国内徐建平等人的统计教材...

当年就用这本书的英文影印版，统计入门的。非常好。到现在还有印象的就是讲自由度（df）的地方，大概是小朋友分蛋糕的例子。并且，以当时本科生的英文程度也完全没问题。理想中教材就该写到这种程度的：让完全此领域零基础的读者在接触后，想到要来学这门课，再看这本书完全不...
