读起来相对轻松的小说。电影在一定程度上拔高了索林的形象，在原著中他倒是更符合矮人的特征。

因为看了新出的《The Hobbits》电影才去看的原版小说。发现电影做了相当程度的改编，提升了矮人王子的作用，而原小说更突出了Bilbo在探险途中的贡献，总体上书读来还是很奇幻有趣的。
