Born to musician parents Debashish Bhattacharya, a child prodigy, was initiated into Indian classical vocal but he picked up guitar and got hooked by its musical appeal akin to vocal due to its ability to glide. The promise of an uncut diamond enthused his parents to take their first-born at the feet of stalwarts in the arena of vocal and instrumental (guitar). The intense and rigorous training under the able wings of his gurus chiseled him and he emerged as the most brilliant guitarist of the present generation.

The highly innovative mind of Debashish restlessly searched the ways and means to incorporate all the finer nuances of vocal music in his guitar. As the young maestro says he is still restless, he thinks Indian Classical guitar needs to reach through the depth of Indian raga music to its bottom .At the same time he imagined to have the depth and vast scope of classical Indian instruments like veena, sitar, sarode etc. This led him to invent, experiment and add quite a few new features in his guitar.

In the hand of the creator Guitar has reached the inner core of the Indian music. The creator who has blessed Indian lap steel Hawaiian guitar in so many times since last three decades, perhaps most of the top slide guitarists has accepted directly or indirectly his style of playing, his concept of instrument and it's development, and guitar designs.

Though at present according to his vision, there is no such Indian slide guitarist yet born in India who , as he imagines. Maestro believes the Trinity of guitars is the first corrected form of Indian Slide Guitar, Debashish hopes this would be the source of power to bring up the real generation of Indian Slide Guitar.
