Robert Jordan's masterful epic fantasy, The Wheel of Time, continues ...The Seanchan invasion force is in possession of Ebou Dar. Nynaeve, Elayne and Aviendha head for Caemlyn and Elayne's rightful throne, but on the way they discover an enemy much worse than the Seanchan. In Illian, Rand vows to throw the Seanchan back as he did once before, although signs of madness are appearing among the Asha'man. Meanwhile, the rebel Aes Sedai under their young Amyrlin, Egwene Al'Vere, face an army that intends to keep them away from The White Tower. 間隔瞭好久開始瞭第八本，居然産生瞭一種親切感，所以即便很多人說讀到8，9本階段時都棄瞭，我還是有信心全部讀完的。 在這一本裏對Elayne一行人的pov有瞭很大興趣，忍不住露齣瞭老姨爹般的微笑，這群小菇涼太好玩瞭。Rand的pov感覺很虐，Perrin依然中規中矩。Egwene是真的有逆襲的感覺。其餘的角色穩進發展。
