好伐，挺奇怪的发现，似乎国人记录和反映那段时期社会情势的相关书籍很少见，大都把注意力直接放在了具体的战局战争上。这方面反倒是外国人写得比较多一些。不知是否是出于那段时期太过混乱，太过悲哀，太过痛苦，才会令得置身其中的人们，过去后便再不忍碰触，始终不愿提及的...  

芭芭拉·塔奇曼平生最有名的作品即《八月炮火》，那是西方人说西方人故事，凭借于参战各方详实的文件记录，塔奇曼的成名之作从某种意义上说无非就是“临门一脚”，再加上成书时古巴导弹危机人人自危的冷战大背景之下，自然是一炮打响。但联系到本书，无疑可谓塔奇曼一生之败笔...
