Funkstoerung (aka Chris de Luca and Michael Fakesch) is not only known for their music, but for their successful visual collaborations with innovative designers. Rather than only release their current album "Disconnected" as a traditional CD, Funkstoerung also presents related material in two additional media – a DVD and a book. These will be sold together as the hybrid product Isolated, which features new visuals and moving images by creatives from around the world. The combination of original music and cutting-edge design were ideal for the production of this initial collaboration between !K7 Records and dgv.

In addition to the exclusive bonus tracks, the interactive DVD consists of video clips for all of the music from "Disconnected". Some songs are even featured in multiple versions. These were produced by some of today’s most diverse and exciting filmmakers, directors and animators and are presented in an inspirational interface designed by Die Gestalten. Participating artists include MK-12 (USA), Inkunstruktion (France) and Viagrafik (Germany).

The book features the best submissions from the visual remix project isolate. When Funkstoerung called upon designers to create a cover for "Disconnected" for this project, they received a tidal wave of entries from over 600 international creatives in response. This collection includes work from talent including Keep Adding and David Gleber (USA), Maiko Gubler of Alrt (Germany) and Paulo Lima of Nothing Lasts Forever (Portugal) as well as Andrew Johnstone of Design is Kinky, Yok! And Victim (Australia).

Its exciting sounds, unique visuals and compelling multi-disciplinary approach make Isolated a trailblazing example of how music can be presented as a product by today’s music industry.
