Liked this even less than Richard Yates. This book is really not about Taipei AT ALL. Not my cup of tea.

one of my metro reads last year. thought of writing a review, but, i have to admit, i guess i was not sure what the novel is about exactly. i thought it was depressing until an american co-worker said there's some humor in it (i failed to see any). i guess i was too used to read premodern novels.
