和其他幾個短篇一起讀完，Harlan Elison應該是近幾年讀到風格最怪誕的科幻作傢，“無聲狂嘯”、Big Sam的故事都到瞭讓人驚駭的程度。我一直覺得越是離經叛道、癲狂的文筆背後，越有可能隱藏的是一顆柔軟的心。

啃瞭一波5000字的原版，可能是這麼多年看過最好的科幻短篇，不再是人類終將勝利，錘爛人類中心主義的同時，在那個存在主義意味濃鬱的結局裏，還是肯定瞭人的尊嚴、人的自由意誌，即便無聲，也能狂嘯。
