在老婆的推荐下看的。个人历史当中穿插着很多思考，非常受用。不过最后10页又一点迷失在各种人物和政治关系当中了。。另外古英语读起来很带感。

文笔很好老先生照片能上美元果然及不平凡的学习他的勤奋！可是也在质疑他过分功力的心理看到后来情节变得很无聊。。里面的几大训诫倒是很好

第一次读时只觉惊为天人，发愿今后写自传时要以此为标准。后来渐渐意识到，自传是专门写给他叛逆的儿子看的，因此呈现的形象过于完美且单一。

In the foreword, Edmund Morgan writes about Franklin's dual allegiance as an American and a subject of an English king, and his emergence as a leader of the American Revolution. This edition also includes biographical notes, a chronology of Franklin's life, and an updated bibliography.
