《六青年的故事(藏英)》内容简介:Based on the Itves of six brothers, this intriguing gory forms an analogy to the six virtuous perfections of the Bodhlsattvas. The story unfolds around the lives of the three older brothers who are in the grip of worldly desires and attached to the fleeting pleasures of cyclical existence. The three Yotmger brothers, who are in fact Bodhisattvas, constantly try to persuade the older brothers to give up their lives of folly and to enter the true path to enlightenment. Through their various journeys, the older brothers land themselves in all kinds of strife requiring the younger brothers to rescue them - an allegorical play on the true nature of a Bodhisattva. Eventually the older brothers see the error of their ways, repent and start on the right path to enlightenment. Greatly loved by the Tibetan people, this story is considered to be one of the most exquisitely written texts in the Tibetan language. The Six Brothers is written in a uniquely Tibetan style of prose and poetry and is often referred to as the 'mother' of all Tibetan poetry. Though the authorship of this epic is unknown, most scholars estimate that it was written six to seven hundred years ago. Having been directly translated from the Tibetan text, this famous Tibetan story is now available in English for the first time.
