第一卷氛围迷人。第二卷街头景象太多太杂，拍不出 Saul 想要的「感觉」，又丢失了街头流动的气质，看得出来黑白摄影在某些方面确有局限。不过，early black and white 时期的部分佳作依然看得出与其彩色时期一脉相承的氛围。不犀利，不刻意，又有温度在暗处涌动。
