Life in Palma Ceia, a small sleepy central Florida fishing and agricultural town need not be dull without adventure and sensationalism. It is a town in slow motion that modern day progress left stunted by the wayside--almost forgotten except to those proud folks living there. It is home to the Old Man, his friends, and folk who all know each other and think they know everything about the others, even deep dark secrets--actually, they don't. His nostalgic reflections of a lonely old man cling to happy refreshing thoughts of the town, lakes, and fishing buddies. The town and lakes don't talk, but the Old Man in his twilight years with dim memory does and recalls these events-- a diversion from the harried business of raising families while making a living and the escape to the great outdoors and magnificent wonders of nature still in abundance in central Florida.
