From an internationally acclaimed Czech writer comes a shrewd, humane, and poignant novel, set in Prague before the Velvet Revolution, whose perceptions about love, conscience, and betrayal cut to the bone of life in both totalitarian and democratic societies. "A chilling story from the underground."--The New York Times.

Kafka, Kundera and Klima, my 3Ks from prague
评分Very worth reading though there's nothing regarding this book here. Similar style & era with most of Milan Kundera's earlier works but with a looser (or more obscure) political focus. Relates some interesting idea about void/garbage (encounter-deprived legacies) and the dilemma of ordinary love. Also talks a lot about the writing of Kafka.

评分對一段強烈愛情的描述很動人 “maybe just because of that he was able to be startled when he saw the sun rise or when he heard a Schubert quintet. It also occurs to me that we live because there are number of encounters ahead of us for the sake of which living is worthwhile” 但是對愛情本身和人與人的關係的描述還是不夠satisfying 用xh的話說就是不夠爽 是他像昆德拉呢還是捷剋人描述感情都這個味道呢? 結尾非常非常動人 #s
