戴夫·艾格斯，生于1970年，美国新生代重要作家、出版人。

艾格斯经历丰富。他还在念大学时，由于父母相继患病去世，他中止学业，照顾八岁的弟弟。2000年，艾格斯出版回忆录《怪才的荒诞与忧伤》（AHeart-breaking Work of Staggering Genius），一炮走红，不仅登上纽约时报畅销书榜冠军，还被《时代周刊》等媒体评为年度好书，入围普利策奖。艾格斯的代表作还包括反映苏丹内战中青少年历险生活的传记性小说What is the What（2006）和最新纪实作品Zeitoun（2009）。

戴夫·艾格斯热心于公益事业。2002年，在旧金山创办青少年指导中心“826 Valencia”，指导青少年学习写作技巧，培养阅读习惯，至今已在美国七大城市成立分部。他还相继创办文学杂志《蒂莫西·麦克斯维尼季刊》和麦克斯维尼出版社。
