理查德·摩根（1965－ ）

英國新一代科幻作傢的代錶，畢業於劍橋大學，主修曆史，之後周遊世界，從事英語教學工作。2002年《副本》齣版以後成為專職作傢。

作為科幻作傢，理查德·摩根對未來的看法十分悲觀。這種觀念也許來自他對曆史的研究。在一次采訪中，他明確錶示：“人類社會現在是、過去是、將來也必然是以壓迫、剝削大眾為目的的存在。”

在這種思想指導下，他的“武·科瓦奇係列”呈現齣鮮明的反烏托邦色彩，加上陰鬱的色調、飛快的節奏，使這個係列具有強烈的賽博朋剋風格。與此同時，該係列又與美國20世紀30年代硬漢派偵探小說十分相似，語言堅硬冷峻，時有雋語，顯示齣批判的鋒芒。
