我不喜歡法老王,從頭就不喜歡.他就好比伊卡洛斯,無限聰明,超越一般人類,他也不屑於一般人類.但他忘記瞭他要徵服的是天空,但是太陽是難以逾越的——盡管他已經接近太陽.百元大鈔,一個典型美國無憂無慮大男孩.猩紅海盜的編劇結尾的時候泄氣瞭,也可能是腰斬瞭.

這個外傳係列把本篇裏一個分鏡就帶過的細節（比如法老王廚亞帝）全都往死裏摳，加大力度渲染，把人物往概念上套（曼哈頓小博士和薛定諤貓箱），反而更襯齣本篇的凝練。多留點信息讓讀者自己挖掘不好嗎

被這傑剋蘇設定震驚瞭。這本書裏的法老不是一個沒有感情的人，他會製造懷舊香水，還喜歡貓。他雖然說要拯救世界，但並不是因為世界應該或者值得被拯救，他就是想證明自己是一個偉大的人物，能做齣一番豐功偉績，被世人仰望，而拯救世界是一個證明自己的機會。Well, why so serious, my good man?

中二滅世天纔成長記。一絲不苟的畫麵構成配閤口白和故事傳達齣的是病態般的執拗，嫻熟的技法營造齣的美感對比主角的喪心病狂卻有著莫大諷刺，雖然和電影角色有些齣入，但那股子冷靜思考的殘酷氣質一脈相承，而且這種黑暗現實主義在混亂的時代終究都會獲得勝利。

《法老王》前傳中獨立度較高的一冊，對於原作較為簡化說明的功利主義正義如何在法老這個旁觀者的生活中演化齣來，作瞭沒有太大突破但仍舊細膩的詮釋。拱形漫畫格優美且切題瞭法老追求的復古。

Len Wein co-created SWAMP THING early in a writing career that has included work on every major hero and villain at both DC Comics and Marvel Comics. As a writer, Wein is also credited with co-creating Wolverine for Marvel and Lucius Fox for DC. Wein was one of the editors on WATCHMEN, and has also been Editor-in-Chief at both Marvel Comics and Disney Comics before settling in to a successful career writing comic books and animation.
