经典的三国啊，讲了几千年的故事还能一遍遍推陈出新诠释的引人入胜。每一个画页都是艺术品。文字也尽显功力。无法相信作者只是个阅历不深的年轻姑娘。

本书以恒河为故事讲述者。全书276页，贞信在170页出场，带出福身王、恒河、毗湿摩，拉开大戏帷幕。俱卢王朝三代爱恨情仇开始前，作者花了不少功夫画插话——三相神、天神与阿修罗、众仙人、王室故事。嫉妒，傲慢，贪婪，争夺，神的故事终究也是人的故事。佩服作者呕心沥血的劲头，但这样子对新入门读者并不友好。新读者最好先看没有插话的摩诃重述，或者POV式。更推荐对印度神话/史诗已经有一定了解的老读者看，讲述过无数次的故事又一次上演，观众仍能产生新的感受。

Amruta Patil is an Indian graphic novelist, writer and painter. Her earlier work, Kari, is a contemporary tale of friendship, love and death. She graduated from the Goa College of Art and went on to complete her Master’s from the School of the Museum of Fine Art, Boston, Tufts University.

This title was selected as one of 2012′s best graphic novels by comic book historian, Paul Gravett. Amruta is currently working on the sequel, Sauptik. Adi Parva was also translated into French by Au Diable Vauvert and published as L’éveil de l’Océan.

This epic graphic novel depicts timeless events such as the churning of the sea, the snake sacrifice of Janmejaya and the first time the queen Gandhari wears a blindfold. The book combines breath-taking art with classic storytelling to paint the picture of a tale which has inspired and guided several hundred generations of people throughout the history of India.
