真的是very shot，可能正是篇幅原因，很多話題都沒有深入探討，下一步可能還是得讀PETER HARVEY的。

介紹性，可讀性不大

這本書預設的讀者應該說是對佛教懷有各種奇葩想像的西方人，諸如認為佛教愛護動物，佛教注重環保，佛教對性持開放態度，佛教最和平最反暴力之類。佛教倫理著眼於此，不過是為倫理學提供一種另類資源，大多數佛教學者不感興趣亦在意料之中。

介紹性，可讀性不大

對於實修的人，扯倫理這種耍嘴皮子虐腦細胞有點世智辯聰意味，純粹挺漲姿勢。純粹體驗瞭一把從一個宗教視點看待一些老生常談的倫理問題覺得略新鮮感。倫理學三大分類：Consequentialism(結果論)/Deontology（道義論）/Virtue ethics（德行倫理學）佛教應該屬於最後那一類，以成為“覺醒者”（Buddha）為目標對自己的言行加以製約。再從這三個為齣發點分析佛教圈子裏一些問題（僧侶自焚是否違反教義？自己國傢被捲入戰火後佛教團體該怎麼行動？剋隆技術對業力學說的影響以及IVF是否違反殺戒？）。西方人這套標準和對戒律的傳統解釋比起來，個人傾嚮於前者，因為時代在變，科技在發展，國際關係無常態可言。不過書裏很多問題最後討論下來都是無結果的....例如如何看待同性戀、安樂死。都扯遠瞭。
