Tom Ripley is struggling to stay one step ahead of his creditors and the law, when an unexpected acquaintance offers him a free trip to Europe and a chance to start over. Ripley wants money, success and the good life and he's willing to kill for it. When his new-found happiness is threatened, his response is as swift as it is shocking.

评分His desire to live an elegant and respectable life makes Ripley, a nobody from New York, kills two person. He continues to live as Dickie Greenleaf, the first person he killed, in Europe, enjoying the wonderful museums and comfortable house in Venice. Finally, the murderer survives all the investigations. It is rare to see this in a crime story.

评分文笔确实不错 只是到最后也没能弄懂为什么如此拙劣的犯罪手段和掩藏办法竟然会不被发现。只能说拉普利确实是个伪装天才吧
