Sage of postmodernism, architect, furniture and product designer, and most widely known as the leading figure of the Memphis design studio in the eighties, Ettore Sottsass is one of the few postwar figures who could justly be referred to as a polymath. Among his many achievements and activities, his photography is one of the least known, yet it is certainly of unique importance in any understanding of the man, his work, and his visual vocabulary.Sottsass the photographer has created a prodigious body of work from which this personal selection is drawn.
