评分一本不錯的亞裔曆史入門。看完這本書，可以理解為什麼亞裔美國人批判新移民（2000年後）和亞裔政客為什麼會為完全損害亞裔的法案背書。 因為曆史的原因，早期的亞裔移民對自己的本民族的文化都不自信。Helen的父母堅持不在小孩麵前說中文，因為擔心影響他們的英文。孤獨的時候，helen的父親在背誦古詩但是作者完全不能理解古詩的韻律美。看到這裏，內心會有些難受。
