Roy Villevoye investigates the colonial past in stills, films and installations on the people of New Guinea. A magazine, Useful Photography, earns its place among artists by lovingly cataloguing vernacular and commercial images. Dutch Dare also includes work by Hans van der Meer, Elspeth Diederix, Gertjan Kocken, Julika Rudelius, Jaap Scheren, Anouk Kruithof, Martine Stig, Viviane Sassen and Marike Schuurman.
