除了某些设定上的小问题，前半部的氛围营造和节奏掌握都很好，但之后越来越repetitive and laborious，以至于差点中途放弃。蒙眼的设定是柄双刃剑：新鲜固然新鲜，但蒙上书中人物眼睛的同时也蒙上了读者的眼睛。毕竟大部分的信息来自视觉，到哪儿都一片漆黑，还有什么好写的呢？

非常精彩！文字就是比影像更有感染力。Tom和Jules第一次出去找补给的那一段吓得我一晚上没敢睡，用触觉去写遭遇到的人和事，来得比视觉震撼得多。群鸟落下、雷雨交加的夜晚这两处全书的高潮部分处理得也很棒。Malorie和Tom的感情也很动人，尽管他们之间可能还未到爱情，但他们的互动我真的是太爱了！而电影就总是喜欢把这种含蓄真挚的感情肉欲化！太煞风景了！太没情调了！
