Linda Goodman was born and brought up in Parkersburg. West Virginia. She worked first as a columnist and feature writer for the Parkersburg news-sentinel and the Clarksville (Tennessee)courier. Since then she has been a staff writer for several radio and television stations, including three years at NBC writing "Monitor" and "Emphasis."

At present she is completing the book and lyrics for a Broadway musical-in the time she can spare from preparing astrological charts and conferring with a sizable clientele.

She lives in New York with her husband and four children.
