One of the major playwrights in the Nuyorican writers group, Pedro Pietri sets this play in an empty room or perhaps in a fancy restaurant, as its two characters vamp, imitate, and taunt one another and social values of the classes. Pietri's play is serious in its political parody, but it's also great fun. Performed in 1974 at Miriam Colon's Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre in Manhattan, this play has long had an underground reputation.
