A multi-talented and versatile superdog, the Airedale possesses the gameness of a terrier along with the retrieving and hunting abilities commonly associated with the sporting breeds. The tallest of the British terriers, the Airedale Terrier stands about 23 inches at the shoulders and is 100% athlete, a well-muscled, strongly boned working dog that has served in the military through both World Wars. Today the Airedale Terrier resides in pet homes around the world, highly regarded for his affectionate temperament and sweet nature as well as his ability to protect the home.
