Approximately three times the size of Texas, Mexico is located in North America and borders the Caribbean Sea, the Gulf of Mexico, and the North Pacific Ocean. With beautiful cities such as Acapulco, Puerto Vallarta, Guadalajara, and bustling Mexico City - the world's third-largest metropolis - Mexico is a fascinating country. Mexico offers a highly readable, up-to-date survey of this North American country. Engaging chapters examine Mexico's landscape and climate, natural resources, the people of Mexico, daily life, economy, and environment. Additional resources include a "Looking Ahead" section, an introductory chapter, a glossary, lists of further information, and a comprehensive index. Full-color photographs and illustrations, as well as maps and graphs, enhance the well-written text.
