The Magic Tree House transportss Jack and Annie to the freezing Arctic. There, they must solve the final riddle to become master librarians. But it's not going to be easy--especially when they have cracking ice, a seal hunter, and a prodigious polar bear to deal with. Will they be able to solve the riddle before they get iced themselves?

评分When I came across a certain astonishing fact, I got very excited about writing the story. The fact was this : Even though polar bears can weigh as much as 1000 pounds, they can walk on ice that is too thin to hold a person.好吧,既然作者说得这么肯定,这应该就是真的吧,我之前真的不知道~_~
评分Always thank the animal spirits.
评分These are Jack's facts about the Arctic: In the summer the sun never sets. In the winter the sun never rises. Seal hunters wear sealskin. Siberian Huskies pull dogsleds. "Igloo" means "house". People can learn from animals. Polar bears can walk on ice too thin to hold a person. The northern lights are an amazing sight.
