When a 7-year old girl eyes her mother's suitcase full of gorgeous silk, cotton and embroidered saris she decides that she too should wear one, even though she is too young for such clothing. Her mother tells her no, that there are lots of other Indian outfits she can wear such as a chaniya choli, a cropped Indian top with a long, full skirt. Eventually, the mother realises how important it is for her little girl to feel like a big girl and dresses up her daughter in the complicated and ornate folds of a blue sari, adding a bindi to her forehead as a final touch. Feeling grown-up and pretty, the daughter embraces her mother, thrilled to be just like her, even if just for a moment.
