Miles Ryan's life seemed to end the day his wife was killed in a hit-and-run accident two years ago. As deputy sheriff of New Bern, North Carolina, he not only grieves for her and worries about their young son Jonah but longs to bring the unknown driver to justice. 评分中下，前半部分是糾結的情感戲，後半部分是毫無邏輯的偵探故事．男主極度腦殘．我這三星，一星是可憐作者碼字辛苦，一星是鼓勵他繼續碼字，最後一星是因為這本書適閤我這個詞匯水平的人閱讀，又嚮英語閱讀自由境界邁進瞭一步．．．．英文水平差也就配讀這種口水小說，現在我認瞭，但你嚇不倒我的，咱走著瞧！
