政治，宗教更多了，一个围城写了700页，也是厉害。没有第一部那样的主题那么热血了。

布兰登·桑德森（Brandon Sanderson）：

1975年12月19日生于美国内布拉斯加州（Nebraska）首府林肯（Lincoln），现居犹他州的欧瑞市（Orem），任教于杨百翰大学（Brigham Young University）。

作者的首部小说《伊岚翠》，2005年甫一出版即获得《浪漫时代》（Romantic Times）奇幻史诗大奖，作者也连续2006、2007年两年入选美国科奇幻界地位最高的新人奖项——约翰·坎伯新人奖，《伊岚翠》更被邦诺书店（Barnes & Noble）列为头号选书。

作者还陆续出版了《迷雾之子三部曲》（Mistborn），均与全球著名的奇幻出版社Tor签约。

后《哈里·波特》的美国出版社Scholastic以高价买下作者其他所有奇幻作品的版权。

作为三部曲的奇幻小说第二部而言，<<升华之井>>的承接，加固与转折作的很不错。山德森完成了纹对自身使命的确认，让依蓝德推行他的理想在治国上从荆棘满路劈出奚径，看起来虽还是<<伊兰翠>>的路道，但却更丰富更合理。当然关于永恒之井的悬念，通过关的记录逐步呈现，结局来临...
