This digest introduces the twenty three most important and influential figures in educational theory that students will need to know and understand to be conversant with current concerns and debates. Four predecessors and nineteen key theorists are introduced, each with a biography, an outline of their main contributions to the field, and their key constructs, alongside notes for students to use on how the work of these figures might be appropriated for future theorizing, research and practice.
