When Mrs. Searcy and Mr. Long decide to get married, their children--seven country Longs and five city Searcys--are anything but happy. On the day of the wedding, there is fussing and fighting on both sides. But a swarm of honeybess, skittish horses, and a wagonload of belongings ultimately reconcile the group as one big, dirty family.
