TIMOTHY KELLER was born and raised in Pennsylvania and educated at Bucknell University, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and Westminster Theological Seminary. He was first a pastor in Hopewell, Virginia. In 1989 he started Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City with his wife, Kathy, and their three sons. 太精彩瞭。乾貨非常多，這本書三部分加附錄可以各齣一本書（以基督為中心的釋經+麵對後現代的護教+preaching to the heart+釋經講道的操作指南）瞭，真是Keller 畢生所學與牧會經曆的精華。作者在腳注占1/4的篇幅，大量的引用來源和重要的補充說明，在Kindle上看起來不是很方便，準備買本紙質版精讀。

這本書不是在簡單的論述講道的技巧，凱樂牧師通過自己多年的牧會經驗並根據紐約救贖主教會自身的特點，總結瞭如何嚮這個充滿懷疑的時代去宣講耶穌基督和福音。附錄關於講道的例證也十分精彩！
