这部作品很好地解答了电影和漫画的区别。分镜、色彩、节奏，都更惊人。画家Mitch Gerads和作家Tom King，应该是结合自身经历，很少见地以现实为题材讲述了在2004年巴格达被美军攻占后不到一年的这个时间点里，涉及到占领军，临时政府筹备组，恐怖分子，萨达姆政权遗留人员，军事外包公司等多方势力的混乱环境里，本身并不那么复杂的罪案故事，并给了很开放的结局。第一部节奏是有点慢的，但细节很暴力很写实...
