light 4/5 Although WL does not serve an exhaustive take on lives of post-80s/90s Chinese, if that is ever possible, by focusing mainly on six characters some of whom I find really unrelatable, it is an admirable achievement nonetheless. Both a curious introduction to Chinese culture(s) for foreigners and an elegy to lost youth for the rest of us.
